On Italy local time February 21, 2008, Chinese team won the 520kg tug-of-war female champion at the International Tug-of-war Club Competition, getting the best record in recent ten years.
The team was organized by workers in Shandong Laigang Group and Liaoning Ansteel Group. All members in the team had rich experiences. Reportedly, Laigang Group tug-of-war team had a total of 12 female members and 14 male members. Most of them had an experience of more than three years. Several players have participated in the World Championships before.
The female team will also join 520kg race on February 22. By then the top six teams will enter the final of the 2009 Kaohsiung World Sports Conference. We believe that this team, composed by workers from steel mills, will be able to achieve new and brilliant achievements.
